What are the best and most essential Programming languages to learn to be to construct any website?
I already know Gimp and HTML, but realize things have changed greatly. In addtion to essential programming languages for webmasters, what would be the best order to learn them in? I realize this question has been asked before, but things change so rapidly that I am wanting an up-to-date answer.
GIMP and HTML aren’t programming languages!!!
To design web pages you at least need to know HTML and CSS. These are display languages – not programming languages. You need to learn both at the same time – they work together. Programming languages that could come in handy are JavaScirpt, Perl, and PHP.
Web pages haven’t changed much over the years, they are still HTML as all web pages must be, but CSS is increasingly being used alongside the HTML to modify the layout since it is now supported in most modern browsers.
GIMP is a raster image editor.
